Your Right to an Appeal or Post-Conviction Relief
I am experienced in representing clients at sentencing hearings, reconsideration of sentence motions and appeals to the Superior Court. I will review the evidence presented in your case, assess your claim, and determine whether you have a legitimate claim to an appeal, including whether there was an error of law or improper jury instructions in your original trial. With strategy, tenacity, and a focus on results, I will aggressively represent you in an effort to get you a new trial.
Not Satisfied With the Results in Your Case?
Many clients need my services after they have been convicted of a crime. You may have worked with another attorney who improperly handled the evidence in your case or who did not make the proper motions to effectively safeguard your rights. Even after you have been convicted and sentenced, you have the right to challenge that conviction.
PCRA ("Post Conviction Relief Act")
The PCRA covers all matters after your direct appeal, including motions for a new trial. If you have been found guilty of a crime as the result of ineffective assistance of counsel, or you have lost an appeal because your attorney did not argue the right issues, you may be able to seek a new trial. You must act promptly, as you only have a limited amount of time to challenge trial or appellate counsel's ineffective representation.
I have handled criminal defense cases involving many offenses, including, but not limited to:
- Murder
- Assault (simple or aggravated)
- Burglary
- Robbery
- Drug charges (Possession with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance)
- Sex crimes (rape, sexual assault)
- Kidnapping
- Carjacking
- Juvenile matters
- Domestic violence
- Gun, firearm or weapons possession
- DUI/DWI or drunk driving offenses
